Tips on how to take care of your ink cartridges, new or remanufactured

  • Never expose cartridges to high temperatures such as leaving them inside hot cars on a summer day.
  • Avoid exposing the cartridges to freezing temperatures.
  • Do not leave an empty cartridge out for so long. Ink was designed to dry and ink left behind the print nozzles will cause a clog even after your have refilled the cartridges.
  • Use the printhead cleaning utility in your printer periodically or when print quality wanes.
  • Full, non-printing cartridges may be blocked and can be set in 1/4-inch water and Windex for a few minutes to loosen the stubbon ink. In some cases, you may need to leave the cartridges soaked overnight.
  • Never overfill cartridges. Overfilling poses the risk of ink contamination.
  • Reduce trash, Recycle cartridges, and Re-use oil-based plastics when you refill ink cartridges.
